• Other helpful tips for running JACK: (Refer to the Macintosh Guide for help with these steps)
- Rebuild the Desktop
- Run Disk First Aid to verify and repair possible system problems.
- Turn off Virtual Memory if you don't need it.
- JACK Extension Set: Using Extensions Manager, create an extensions Set with the following: QuickTime, QuickTime Powerplug (Power Macintosh only), Sound control panel (Monitors and Sound on PCI Macs), and Sound Manager.
You can save the set as JACK. (Don't forget to restart your machine to activate the Set)
• When to Reinstall
If for some reason you do not find any of these extensions listed in your Extensions Manager list, reinstall JACK. You can choose the custom install option which installs only required extensions.
